Hwy 282 in Jordan, Sand Creek Township closing May 3 to mid-June
Crews to begin reconstructing Hwy 282
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Highway 282 in Jordan and Sand Creek Township will encounter a closure and detour beginning Monday, May 3.
Crews will close Highway 282 between Mill Street and Lydia Road in Jordan beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, May 3 through mid-June, weather permitting.
Highway 282 traffic will be detoured around the closure via Highway 21, County Road 8 and Highway 13.
The closure is needed while crews begin reconstructing Highway 282 between Mill Street in Jordan and Highway 13 just west of Prior Lake. Crews will complete this work in three sections, starting with Highway 282 between Mill Street and Lydia Road. Once they finish this section in mid-June, they will begin work between Lydia Road and County Road 79 before finishing up between County Road 79 and Highway 13.
The project will result in additional Highway 282 closures through October 2021, when construction is scheduled to be completed.
The work is part of a larger construction project on Highway 282 that also includes:
- Reconstructing the hill between East Street and Lydia Road in Jordan
- Adding a trail for pedestrians and bicyclists between East Street and Lydia Road
- Installing a sidewalk that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act between Mill Street and East Street
- Reducing shoulder width on Highway 282
