Bridge deck replacement and ramp repair, resurfacing begins Monday, May 17 in Brooklyn Center
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – A project to replace the bridge deck on the ramp from westbound I-694 to southbound Highway 100 and repair and resurface the ramp from southbound Highway 252 to westbound I-04/I-694 begins next week in Brooklyn Center. The work includes repairs and resurfacing at each end of the ramp bridge along with drainage improvements and shoulder repair.
Beginning early Monday morning, May 17, the ramp from southbound Highway 252 to westbound I-94/I-694 will close for approximately seven days. During the closure, motorists will follow a signed detour to avoid the closure.
- Westbound I-694/southbound Hwy 252 to southbound Hwy 100: Follow eastbound I-94 to westbound I-394 and west to Hwy 100
- Southbound Hwy 252 to westbound I-94/I-694: Detour eastbound on I-694 to East River Road and use the ramps to go westbound on I-94/I-694
Drivers should also watch for nighttime lane closures on westbound I-694 from Dupont Avenue to Shingle Creek Parkway from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, May 17 through Wednesday, May 19.
Construction crews will remove the deck from the westbound I-694 to southbound Highway 100 bridge during the weekend of June 4 through 6. The ramp will be closed and detoured during the removal.
Weather permitting, all work will be completed by late August.
