Hwy 95 road closure in Washington County rescheduled for July 19
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — The Hwy 95 pavement improvement work in Washington County—originally scheduled to begin July 6—has been rescheduled for July 19. Crews will be splitting up the work into two stages, with each section of road closing for about one month.
Crews will close Hwy 95 between Hudson Road and Valley Creek Road beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, July 19. Motorists will be detoured around the closure via I-94, Woodbury Drive and Valley Creek Road. This section of road is expected to reopen by mid-August, weather permitting.
In late July, crews also will be doing road work on Highway 95 between Hudson Boulevard and Hudson Road near the Interstate 94/Manning Avenue Interchange. This work will be done under traffic with periodic flagging and possible delays at the I-94 on and off ramps.
Crews will close Hwy 95 between Valley Creek Road and Bailey Road beginning in mid-August through mid-September.
All work is expected to be complete by end of September.
The work is part of a multi-year safety improvement project on Highway 95 that began in 2017 and includes resurfacing the pavement and drainage work. The project work will enhance safety and provide a smoother riding surface.
