MnDOT, WisDOT seek public input on Hwy 243 Osceola Bridge project
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation invites community members to provide feedback on potential design options for the reconstruction of the Highway 243/Osceola Bridge over the St. Croix River National and Scenic Riverway. The virtual open house is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, March 3.
The virtual meeting will be an opportunity for the public to learn more about the project, ask questions and share their thoughts. MnDOT and WisDOT will use this input to help finalize plans for the bridge. Those interested in attending can access the meeting at: www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy243osceola/meetings.html.
The purpose of the Highway 243 Osceola Bridge project is to maintain a reliable highway connection over the St. Croix River for Highway 243 between Washington and Chisago counties in Minnesota, and the village of Osceola and Polk County in Wisconsin. The project team will work with federal, state and local interests to minimize project impacts to the St. Croix River and other natural resources in the area.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print) for this event, please email your request to Janet Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 651-366-4720.
