Region 7W seeks feedback from traveling public in Benton, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright counties for future planning study

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Travelers who reside or drive in the Region 7W area of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright counties are invited to take an online map survey to pinpoint needs and issues for the area’s Long Range Transportation Plan. The survey is open now through April 8, 2022, at www.mndot.gov/d3/region7w.

Input from the public will help develop the future Region 7W Long Range Transportation Plan. Region 7W covers Benton, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright Counties, with the exception of the St. Cloud area, which has a separate planning entity.

The role of Region 7W is to address transportation issues in the four-county area and conduct regional transportation studies and plans to identify needs and improvements.

“Your feedback will be valuable in planning future transportation needs for Region 7W in central Minnesota,” said Tom Cruikshank, MnDOT District 3 transportation planner, who is leading the plan revision. “The survey map allows the public to place comments on areas of concern or that need improvement. This information will be used for the long range plan and will help guide priorities for projects seeking federal transportation funding.”

To learn more about Region 7W, visit www.mndot.gov/d3/region7w/. Questions or concerns can be directed to Tom Cruikshank, transportation planner, at thomas.cruikshank@state.mn.us or 320-223-6526.

MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
