Hwy 30 tree removal in Rushford March 23-31; no daytime parking along road during project
RUSHFORD, Minn. — Motorists and residents on Hwy 30 in Rushford between Elm Street and Southview Court should be alert for tree cutting operations and not park on the road during the daytime work March 23-31, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Approximately 37 trees will be removed along Hwy 30 near residences between Elm Street and Southview Court on the west side of Rushford. The trees have been marked with paint. The work is in preparation for the Hwy 30 construction project in Rushford, which is scheduled to begin April 18.
Tree removal work will take place from March 23-31. The trees are being removed because they will be impacted by the construction. Residents and visitors are requested to park on the side streets or off the road during daytime hours to allow for the tree removal, which is along the boulevard and the right of way. There may be brief traffic delays during the work on March 28 when larger trees are removed and require stoppage of traffic.
People who have questions about the work may contact the contractor, Krumrie Tree Service of Dakota, Minn. They can be reached at 507-450-0070 or 507-459-3015.
Motorists are urged to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
