Hwy 71 Bemidji construction open house
BEMIDJI, Minn. – MnDOT staff will be holding an open house about the 2022 construction work on Hwy 71 in Bemidji on Thursday, April 28. The open house will be held at Beltrami Electric Community Room (4111 Technology Dr. NW) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Presentations of the project will be held at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend and ask questions about the upcoming project.
For more information about the project or to attend the presentation on Microsoft Teams, visit mndot.gov/d2/projects/hwy71-bemidji/meetings.html.
MnDOT plans to resurface a portion of Hwy 71 and make intersection improvements at eight locations between Hwy 197 and Winter Sumac Road, including a roundabout at Anne Street. Construction is scheduled to begin mid-May, weather permitting. The Hwy needs long-term improvements to address intersection safety and aging infrastructure.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all.
