Hwy 56 remains closed, detoured near Taopi as crews reestablish power line connections
TAOPI, Minn. (9:30 a.m.) – Hwy 56 remains closed and detoured near Taopi in Mower County as utility crews continue to work to reestablish the power line connections that were downed during an overnight storm, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The Hwy is expected to reopen to traffic early Wednesday afternoon. The Hwy has been closed since about 1 a.m., Wednesday after storms knocked down power lines across the state Hwy at Taopi.
The detour is Mower County Road 7 north to Mower County Road 3 east to Mower County Road 8 south.
