Hwy 95 week-long road closure in Franconia Township begins May 16
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter a road closure and detour on Highway 95 in Chisago County on Monday, May 16 as crews complete a drainage repair project.
Beginning at 5:30 a.m. Monday, May 16, Highway 95 will close between Highway 8 and Highway 243 in Franconia Township. Motorists will be detoured around the closure by taking Pleasant Valley Road, Red Wing Avenue and Highway 8. MnDOT will maintain access to all businesses and residences throughout the project however, motorists may have to use a different route.
The highway is expected to reopen by 5:30 a.m. on Monday, May 23. All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather permitting and subject to change.
When possible, motorists should avoid cutting through neighborhoods and help keep the community safe by using posted detour routes.
The project work will be complete by late-July.
