Business Hwy 371 frontage road closed Friday, June 10 in Brainerd

One-day closure from Linden Lane to Spruce Drive

BAXTER, Minn. — Those who use the Business Hwy 371 frontage road in Brainerd will encounter the road closed from Linden Lane to Spruce Drive on Friday, June 10.

The one-day closure is necessary to allow crews to install storm sewer. Access will be maintained to area residents, businesses and healthcare clinics along the frontage road; however, the Spruce Drive intersection will be closed and impassible for the day. Local traffic may follow the temporary signed detour that uses Linden Lane, Graydon Avenue, Spruce Drive and Buffalo Hills Lane (Crow Wing County Road 117).

Business Hwy 371 remains closed to all traffic between Joseph Street and Buffalo Hills Lane/Industrial Park Road until late July. Motorists should continue to follow the signed detour along Willow Street, 13th Avenue and Industrial Park Road. After July, crews will continue onto the second work segment of Business Hwy 371 from Buffalo Hills Lane/Industrial Park Road to south of Greenwood Street in Brainerd.

Motorists are urged to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.

If you have any questions, contact MnDOT Construction Project Manager Kirk Allen at 218-828-5739 or kirk.allen@state.mn.us. For more information and to download detour maps, visit the Business Highway 371 project webpage at mndot.gov/d3/brd.

When complete in early October, travelers will benefit from a smoother road surface, updated drainage, and improved access and safety along four miles of Business Hwy 371—Brainerd to Barrows.
