MnDOT warns motorists of “chandeliering” ice over the road on Hwy 40 near Milan Bridge
WILLMAR, Minn. – (7:00 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Highway 40 west of Milan to drive with caution. Ice has been pushed up from Lac qui Parle Lake throughout the day, narrowing the traffic lanes near the Milan Bridge. Crews will continue to remove the ice in an effort to keep both lanes open overnight. Drivers should slow down when approaching the area and follow flagging instructions.
