Highway 93 south of Henderson to Highway 169 reopens
MANKATO, Minn. – (11:50 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation has reopened Highway 93 from Henderson to Highway 169. It was closed yesterday due to flooding from the Rush River.
MnDOT crews will continue to closely monitor Highway 93 as it may need to close again if river levels rise.
Highway 19 east of Henderson to Highway 169 will remain closed until further notice due to flooding from the Minnesota River. Motorists should use alternate routes. The highway will reopen when water has receded, and crews are able to make any necessary repairs.
Highways that remain closed:
- Highway 19 east of Henderson (closed April 21)
- Highway 93 south of Henderson (closed April 21; reopened April 22)
When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.
