Highway 61 single lane traffic rescheduled in Cottage Grove for May 2-26
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is delaying lane closures on Highway 61 between 70th Street and Highway 10 for concrete repairs in Cottage Grove due to weather. The work, originally scheduled to start on April 25 will now begin on May 2.
Beginning at 6 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, southbound Highway 61 will be reduced to a single lane between 70th Street and Highway 10 in the Cottage Grove area as part of a concrete repair project. The southbound lane is expected to reopen by 11 p.m., Monday, May 15.
Beginning at approximately 9 a.m., Monday, May 15, northbound Highway 61 will be reduced to a single lane from Highway 10 to 70th Street. The northbound lane is expected to reopen on Friday, May 26.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
