Building construction and maintenance careers

Laborers and General Maintenance Workers do heavy manual labor work, requiring strenuous physical effort outdoors under sometimes unfavorable conditions, operating both hand and power tools.  Examples of tasks include: cutting lawns using power mowers, trimming and edging walks, using weed cutters and edging tools; pruning shrubs and trees; running large pieces of equipment; removing snow; repairing and maintaining equipment.
