Future work, impacts

Here's a six-month look ahead on tentative roadwork and traveler impacts on Hwy 55 between Annandale Blvd. and Brown Ave. in Annandale, Wright County.

Through traffic

• Mid-April to mid-October: Hwy 55 remains open to two-way traffic in Annandale when working between Annandale Blvd. and Poplar Ave.; lanes will shift and have no shoulders at times.
• June to mid-October: Hwy 55 closes to all through traffic in Annandale when reconstructing the road between Brown Ave. and Poplar Ave.
  • Detour: Follow road signs along Wright Co. Rd. 3, County Rd. 39, Hwy 24 and Co. Rd. 6 (PNG)

Local traffic: Annandale is open

• Access open and maintained at all times to those who live, work or visit those along the Hwy 55 work zone; however, expect changes and use of alternate accesses between Brown Ave. and Annandale Blvd:
  • Plan to encounter gravel or grooved surfaces, narrowed lanes, lane shifts, flaggers controlling traffic, heavy equipment entering and exiting work zone areas
  • Expect segments of hard closures at times as crews work on structures beneath the road; follow signs to next available access point
  • Poplar Ave. will remain open to/from Hwy 55 most of the time (except two weeks to realign the intersection)
• Pedestrians: Sidewalk closures, follow signs, usually on alternate side of road
