About this 2023 project
Substantially complete
Resurface 36 miles of Hwy 47 from north of Hwy 27 in Isle to Hwy 169 in Aitkin.
Through mid-November
Motorists will encounter periodic lane or shoulder closures as crews complete tasks—mainly off-road.
MnDOT hopes you enjoy the smoother road surface on Hwy 47.
Summary of 2023 work
- Resurface the road, shoulders and turn lanes (mill and asphalt overlay)
- Update pipes and repair ditches
- Re-establish gravel shoulders
- Install mumble strips and road markings
