I-90 from Austin to Dexter

About this project

We plan to resurface I-90 from Austin to Dexter. The work includes resurfacing and improving exit and entrance ramps.

Summer 2025 work

• Resurface westbound I-90
• 28th St. NE in Austin to 0.4 miles east of Hwy 16 near Dexter
• Resurface and improve westbound I-90 exit and entrance ramps

Summer 2028-2029 work

• Resurface eastbound I-90
• 28th St. NE in Austin to 0.4 miles east of Hwy 16 near Dexter
• Resurface and improve eastbound I-90 exit and entrance ramps
• Remove and replace box culverts at Rose Creek

Traffic impact

Traffic will remain on I-90 during construction. Vehicles will be detoured around closed ramps.
