I-90 resurfacing

About this project

I-90 will be resurfaced from Austin to Dexter. Work also includes improving exit and entrance ramps.

2025 work

Construction scheduled May 12 to late-August.

• Resurface westbound I-90
• 28th St. NE in Austin to 0.4 miles east of Hwy 16 near Dexter
• Resurface and improve westbound I-90 exit and entrance ramps

Summer 2028-2029 work

• Resurface eastbound I-90
• 28th St. NE in Austin to 0.4 miles east of Hwy 16 near Dexter
• Resurface and improve eastbound I-90 exit and entrance ramps
• Remove and replace box culverts at Rose Creek

Traffic impacts

Traffic will remain on I-90 during construction. Vehicles will be detoured around closed ramps.
