Update on southwest Minnesota highways impacted by flooding

WILLMAR, Minn. – (12:30 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation continues to closely monitor state highways in southwest Minnesota due to flooding caused by heavy rains during the past few days.
The status of state highways in southwest Minnesota that have or have had water on the roadway due to flooding is as follows.

  • CLOSED: Highway 30 between Dovray and Westbrook; follow posted detour. If waters continue to recede, the roadway may open later today.
  • Highway 14, east of Lamberton, between Impala Avenue and Jade Avenue: water on the roadway, slow down and use caution. If waters continue to rise, the roadway may be closed later today.
  • Highway 14, west side of Tyler: water on the roadway, slow down and use caution.
  • Highway 59, south of Marshall, southbound lane: water has receded.
  • Highway 91 in Chandler: water has receded.

The public is advised to check www.511mn.org for flood advisories and road closures before traveling.
