I-535 ramp and Blatnik Bridge closures
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close the I-535 Blatnik Bridge July 13, 15, and 16, for construction activities. Additional single lane closures will occur in both directions through July 25, for bridge inspections and routine maintenance.
- 7/13 – The on-ramp from Garfield Avenue in Duluth and the southbound side of the I-535 Blatnik Bridge will close from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists will be detoured to the Highway 2 Bong Bridge.
- 7/15 and 7/16 – The northbound side of the I-535 Blatnik Bridge from Superior will close from 10 a.m. on July 15, through 10 p.m. on July 16. Motorists will be detoured to the Highway 2 Bong Bridge.
- 7/8 to 7/25 –The I-535 Blatnik Bridge will undergo single lane closures in both directions between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday until July 25, to allow for routine bridge inspections and maintenance.
