Lower Michigan to reopen, upcoming traffic impacts on Superior Street

DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation, as part of the Twin Ports Interchange Project, is set to reopen Lower Michigan Street from Superior Street to 24th Avenue West, beginning Sept. 30, in Duluth.

At the same time work will begin on curb and gutter construction at the intersection of West Superior Street and West Michigan Street (near the M&H gas station). Additionally, Superior Street will close between 21st Avenue West and 22nd Avenue West, for the installation of storm sewer crossings. Work in these areas is anticipated to take about three weeks.
