New Highway 67/old County Road 2 project complete

WILLMAR, Minn. – Work to install guardrail, rumble strips and ground-in wet reflective striping on new Highway 67 / old County Road 2 in Yellow Medicine County has been completed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Rumble strips and striping were installed from Wood Lake to where Highway 67 turns south toward Echo. Erosion control and concrete curbing were installed along with new guardrail at the bridge over Wood Lake Creek, east of Wood Lake. Culverts near the bridge were also replaced.

Benefits of the project include enhanced safety and improved drainage. The contractor was Midwest Contracting, and the project cost was approximately $522,000.
