Crews to close Hwy 55 near Rosemount Oct. 2-9

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists traveling in both directions of Highway 55 near Rosemount will encounter a full road closure as crews conduct the 2nd phase of a safety improvement project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

From 10:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2 through 5:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Highway 55 will completely close between County Road 42 and Highway 52. This closure is necessary to make repairs at the railroad crossing near Doyle Path.

Motorists will follow a posted detour using County Road 42/145th Street, and Highway 52. Motorists accessing businesses on the west side of the railroad tracks will use Highway 52 to and from the business. Motorists accessing businesses on the east side of the railroad tracks will access from County Road 42.

Motorists should avoid cutting through neighborhoods and help keep the community safe by using posted detour routes.
