Weekend closure of Interstate 494 in Bloomington begins Oct. 11

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will close eastbound Interstate 494 between Highway 100 and Highway 77, and westbound I-494 between Interstate 35W and Highway 100 in Bloomington. MnDOT crews will also close all ramps along eastbound I-494 between Highway 100 and Highway 77, and all ramps along westbound I-494 between I-35W and Highway 100 beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14.

During this weekend closure, motorists traveling westbound on I-494 can use northbound I-35W to westbound Highway 62 to southbound Highway 100 to westbound I-494 as a detour.

Motorists traveling on eastbound I-494 can use northbound Highway 100 to eastbound Highway 62 to southbound Highway 77 to eastbound I-494 as a detour.
