10-day closure of eastbound Hwy 55 in Plymouth and Golden Valley begins October 7; westbound closure starts October 17

Roseville, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will resurface Highway 55 in Plymouth and Golden Valley, between Interstate 494 and Highway 169, requiring a 10-day eastbound closure starting Oct. 7, followed by a 11-day westbound closure, starting Oct. 17.

The eastbound closure will begin at 2 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7 and end at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.

During this 10-day closure, motorists traveling eastbound on Highway 55 can use southbound I-494 to eastbound I-394 to northbound Highway 169 as a detour.

The westbound closure will begin at 2 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 and end at 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

Motorists traveling westbound on Highway 55 can use southbound Highway 169 to westbound I-394 to northbound I-494 as a detour.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
