Roundabout at Hwy 22 and Augusta Drive in Mankato opens Oct. 5

MANKATO, Minn. – Construction of a dual-lane roundabout at the intersection of Highway 22 and Augusta Drive in Mankato is nearly complete and the detour is expected to be removed Saturday afternoon, October 5, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Traffic has been detoured since July 29 for construction of the roundabout. The project also included constructing new trail and realigning existing trails.

Benefits of the project include improved traffic flow and enhanced safety for motorists and pedestrians. BCM Construction was awarded the project with a bid of $2,597,473.00.
