Hwy 13/I-35W lane and ramp closures in Burnsville begin Oct. 11

Then, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, northbound I-35W will be reduced to a single lane at the Burnsville split to Hwy 13 through 11 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 13.

Through Oct. 31, I-35W remains reduced to two lanes from the Burnsville split to the Minnesota River bridge. During these lane closures, the E-ZPass lanes will be open to general traffic between the Burnsville split and Black Dog Road while the crossover work is completed.

These lane and ramp closures are needed as crews construct crossovers for the 2025-26 construction project when crews will replace pavement on I-35W, and repair or replace bridges at Cliff Road, Hwy 13, and the Burnsville Parkway.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
