Highway 40 reduced to one lane in Willmar tomorrow

WILLMAR, Minn. – Highway 40 will be reduced to one lane from County Road 5 to County Road 55 in Willmar on Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Crews will collect soil samples for analysis prior to future construction. Work is expected to begin about 9:00 a.m. and be completed by late afternoon.

Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Travelers should allow extra time as brief delays are possible. MnDOT asks drivers to slow down when approaching the work zone and be alert for workers, as well as heavy equipment entering and exiting the area.
