Public invited May 14 to learn about Highway 371 intersection plans in Nisswa, Pequot Lakes

BAXTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the community to learn about plans to improve access and safety on Highway 371 at Crow Wing County Road 29/Wilderness Road (County Road 107) on Wednesday, May 14.

The public meeting will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at Nisswa City Hall, 5442 City Hall Street, Nisswa. Guests will have the opportunity to visit with project staff, view a design layout and ask questions. The event is open house-style—guests may stop by and leave at their convenience.

MnDOT will improve safety and reconfigure the access on Highway 371 at Crow Wing County Road 29/Wilderness Road (County Road 107). The new design will limit movements to right in/right out and add J-turns north and south of the intersection in Pequot Lakes and Nisswa (Figure 1). Work is scheduled for 2027.

For more information, contact Luke Wehseler, project development manager, at luke.wehseler@state.mn.us or visit the project web page: mndot.gov/d3/projects/hwy371-cr29/.
