MnDOT to host December 16 virtual open house to discuss I-494 proposed noise walls
Residents from Bloomington, Edina and Richfield invited to attend event; eligible voters for the noise wall installation were sent ballots by mail, which must be returned by Dec. 31
ROSEVILLE, Minn. —The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will host a virtual public open house, 6–7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, to discuss the proposed installation of noise walls between East Bush Lake Road and West Bush Lake Road along I-494. Noise walls are one of several measures MnDOT considers to reduce traffic-related noise for nearby homes and businesses.
Residents from Bloomington, Edina and Richfield are invited to attend the online event to learn about noise wall benefits, the noise analysis process, noise wall voting eligibility, as well as the current I-494 construction project.

Residents who are eligible to vote on the proposed noise walls were sent ballots by mail from MnDOT. Ballots must be returned by December 31.
