MnDOT to host April 14 open house for Highway 4 Hector to Fairfax project

WILLMAR, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an in-person construction open house on Tuesday, April 14, to learn about the upcoming Highway 4 resurfacing project. The open house will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Hector Community Center, 130 Main St. S, Hector.

MnDOT and construction staff will be available to answer questions and provide details about the construction phasing of the project. There will not be a formal presentation, attendees are welcome to stop by at their convenience.

MnDOT will be resurfacing Hwy 4, from Hwy 212 in Hector to Hwy 19 in Fairfax. The project will improve pavement conditions and enhance safety along the corridor. Crews will also repair and replace multiple culverts to strengthen drainage infrastructure and support long-term roadway durability.

The contractor is ULLand Brothers Inc., and the approximate cost is $11.3 million.
