MnDOT to host April 16 open house for Highway 212 Granite Falls bridge resurfacing project
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend a construction open house on Thursday, April 16, to learn about the upcoming Highway 212 bridge resurfacing project. The open house will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Kilowatt Community Center, 600 Kilowatt Dr., Granite Falls.
MnDOT and construction staff will be available to answer questions and provide details about the construction phasing of the project. There will not be a formal presentation, attendees are welcome to stop by at their convenience.
Project summary
The upcoming resurfacing project on the Hwy 212 bridge, located 0.1 mile east of Hwy 23 in Granite Falls, will focus on improving the condition of the bridge, providing a smoother driving surface, and extending the bridge's lifespan. The work will take place in two main phases: lane closures and full bridge closures.
The contractor is PCiRoads with an approximate cost of $1.67 million.
