MnDOT to host Hwy 11 Roseau to Warroad open house May 4

BEMIDJI, Minn. —The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host an open house on Monday, May 4, to share information about the upcoming transportation improvement project on Hwy 11 between Roseau and Warroad. The event will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Roseau Community Center, 121 Center St. E.

Project staff will present construction plans, staging details and anticipated impacts. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about this project and the planned 2027 reconstruction on Highway 89 in Roseau.

The Hwy 11 project will implement long-term improvements to enhance safety, mobility and ride quality. Construction is scheduled to begin May 26 and continue through September. Work includes:

  • Reconstructing the “ridge” area near Warroad with right-turn lanes and a center left-turn lane
  • Realigning the segment near the Roseau Airport to flatten the curve
  • Replacing culverts
  • Replacing deteriorating pavement along the entire segment
