Municipal identification and monument signs

Minnesota recognizes three types of signs that identify communities located along trunk highways. These signs are treated differently depending on the location and purpose of the sign. A Limited Use Permit is used as the method for granting written permission for a city to install a municipal identification sign.

Find more information in the chapter on Municipal Identification Signs in the MnDOT Right of Way Manual.
