Reason for retiring policy
Names and designations of trunk highways and bridges as memorials must be established by statute (see Minnesota Statutes, section 161.14). The directives in MnDOT’s policy and associated guidelines are covered in the Traffic Engineering Manual and the Memorial Highway Signing Guidance document created and updated by the Office of Traffic Engineering, therefore the policy is no longer needed.
