Minnesota Airports

Minnesota is known for having some of the best, most standardized airports in the nation. It is also known for having the best navigational and weather information systems available to pilots. Together with our corps of outstanding airport sponsors MnDOT is proud of these recognitions and the current Minnesota airport system! Minnesota has 136 public use airports. Of those, 133 are publicly owned and publicly funded airports and 9 have airline services. There are also 10 public seaplane bases located across the state. Additionally, there are 42 private airports, 40 private seaplane bases, and 103 private heliports (mostly associated with hospitals).
