Crews will resurface 2 miles of road, add trail connections, reconstruct trail, improve accessibility of ramps and signals, repair shoulders, and improve drainage.

Summary of work

  • Resurface travel lanes
  • Install ADA compliant curb ramps
  • Add or upgrade pedestrian ramps and crossings
  • Improve drainage
  • Install accessible pedestrian signals
  • Reconstruct trail on west side of road
  • Connect trail on west side of road with Twilight Trail path
  • Repair shoulders along several areas of the project
  • Replace existing guardrail

Traffic impacts

All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent. Access to residences and businesses will remain open.

Upcoming

Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted as details become available. The project area will be closed to through traffic during construction. Motorists can expect several weeks of single-lane traffic, with drivers taking turns at stop signs, while crews do drainage work at Purgatory Creek, between Lotus View Dr./Sandy Hook Rd. and Choctaw Circle. There will be one complete weekend road closure between Fox Hollow Dr. and Duck Lake Trail.
