Lane closures

• Expect intermittent lane closures on I-494 in both directions between Blaine Ave. and Hwy 3/Robert St.

Mon, April 21 through 6 p.m. Thu, Oct. 30

• Northbound Hwy 52 is reduced to one lane between north of Upper 55th St. and south of Mendota Rd./Southview Blvd.
• Southbound Hwy 52 is reduced to two lanes between Mendota Rd./Southview Blvd. and Upper 55th St.

Ramp closures

Wed, Oct. 29 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• The ramp from northbound Hwy 52 to westbound I-494 is closed
  • Detour: Northbound Hwy 52 to westbound Mendota Rd./Southview Blvd. to southbound Hwy 52 to westbound I-494

• Short term ramp closures along I-494 between Blaine Ave. and Hwy 3/Robert St.

About this project

We will be redecking and repainting the Hwy 52 bridges over I-494 in 2025 to extend the lifespan of the bridges. This work is happening now to take advantage of IIJA funding made available to the State.
