Weekend closure of Interstate 494 in Bloomington begins Oct. 25

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, MnDOT will close westbound I-494 between Highway 77 and I-35W and eastbound I-494 between Highway 100 and Highway 77. Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, all ramps along westbound I-494 between Highway 77 and I-35W, and all ramps along eastbound I-494 between Highway 100 and Highway 77 will be closed.

During this closure, motorists traveling westbound on I-494 can use northbound Highway 100 to westbound Highway 62 to southbound Highway 100 to westbound I-494 as a detour.

Motorists traveling on eastbound can use northbound Highway 100 to eastbound Highway 62 to southbound Highway 77 to eastbound I-494 as a detour.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
